FWTA’s Jamie Knight appointed President of Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers

We are pleased to announce that James “Jamie” Knight, Partner at Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP, has been appointed President of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE).

CACE is the national association that includes virtually all of Canada’s management side labour and employment practices (both boutiques and multi-service firms) as well as in-house counsel and government lawyers who have significant responsibilities within their organizations for labour and employment law.  CACE has some 1250 members from across Canada and is widely regarded by Canadian Courts, government agencies, and employers as a leading advocacy group for the interests of employers.

Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP was a founding member of CACE and has been prominent in its activities from the outset, 14 years ago.  Another partner, Peter Thorup, has previously served as President. Indeed, as a measure of its standing in the legal community, Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP is the first firm to have a second President appointed.
