Luxembourg: Increase to Minimum Wage as from 1 January 2021

Draft bill N^o 7719 modifying article L.222-9 of the Labour Code: Increase to Minimum Wage as from 1 January 2021

Draft bill N^o 7719 will increase the minimum wage by 2.8% from 1 January 2021, which means an increase to EUR 2,201.93 for unqualified workers and to EUR 2,642.32 for qualified workers (before taxes). The tax exemption of the settlement indemnity following a termination will be EUR 26,423.16 (before taxes). The raise is based on the general increase of the average salaries in 2018 and 2019.
