Norway: The Government Strengthens Efforts Against Social Dumping and Labour Crime

The government will introduce a new action plan to intensify efforts against social dumping and labour crime, with particular focus on sectors with high risk of worker exploitation.

The previous action plan, presented in 2022, included 35 concrete measures, of which 34 have been initiated or completed. The new plan will build on the plan presented in 2022, while also addressing new challenges that has emerged in recent years. Among other things, the government will consider measures to strengthen union membership and more effectively combat wage theft and to enhance protections for workers on digital platforms.
