Norway: New Regulation introduces minimum wages in accommodation and catering businesses

The new Regulation on general application of wage agreements applies to employees in accommodation and catering businesses on shore. Minimum wages for employees above the age of 18 is set at NOK 157,18 per hour. In addition to setting minimum wages, the Regulation sets standard deductions where employees are accommodated in the company. Employers must make sure to update all employment contracts, ensuring that they meet the new requirements.
