France: Upcoming reform in the employee savings: measures to develop employee savings in small and medium-sized companies will be presented by the government mid-June. The draft law will then be submitted to parliament

A bill to promote the growth of employee savings plans should be presented to the French ministers on June 20th. This project encourages the dissemination of employee savings by providing for various measures, including: the elimination of the forfait social on profit-sharing and incentive plans in companies with fewer than 50 employees, the abolition of the forfait social on profit-sharing in companies between 50 and 249 employees, the conclusion of a branch employee savings plan which the company can join, and the continuation of the profit-sharing agreement in the event of a company transfer. These measures should be discussed in Parliament this summer.
