Luxembourg: Increase of statutory minimum wage by another 0,9% retroactively as of 1 January 2019

Bill number 7416, which modifies article L. 222-9 of the Labour Code and which increases the minimum social wage for non-qualified workers by 0.9%, retroactively as of 1 January 2019, was published on 12 July 2019. The minimum wage was previously increased by 1.1% since 1 January 2019 by a law voted on 21 December 2018. The new statutory minimum wage for unqualified workers thus amounts to EUR 2,089.75.
