Colombia: Changes in the protocols to enter the country using the international flight operation

Through Resolution 2532 issued on 31 December 2020, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection changed the Biosecurity Protocol for International Flights with a twofold purpose: to obey a judicial order issued In December 2020, and to update the measures to the latest scientific evidence on COVID-19.

In order to fulfil the minimum requirements to enter the country, we suggest taking into account the following measures:

  • Present a PCR COVID test with a NEGATIVE result for COVID-19 collected no more than ninety-six (96) hours before boarding and traveling to Colombia. No passenger with fever or difficulty breathing will be allowed to travel. In case of difficulties in taking the test or having the results on time, the passenger must state that fact, and compromise to take the test in the country and to keep a preventive isolation for 14 days or less, if the result of the test is negative.
  • Register on Check-Mig 24 hours before the flight (https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/public/preregistro.jsf).
  • Download on their mobile the Coronaapp and report their health condition.
  • Using a mask covering nose and mouth during the whole flight and at the airport. For flights longer than 2 hours, the passenger must replace the mask during the flight.
