Poland: Employers will have Access to Information on Who has been Vaccinated against COVID-19

The Ministry of Health is working on a law to allow employers to verify which employees have received the COVID-19 vaccine. Those who have not taken the injection could be moved to other posts, since it is not possible to keep a safe distance or work with a mask on in all possible sites.

Opinions are divided – employers, fearing another closure of their workplaces, are looking forward to its implementation. Trade unions dread it. Entrepreneurs declare that they simply want to ensure safe employment conditions, and for this they need information on who is already vaccinated and who is not. Workers on the other hand, are afraid of both the consequences of disclosing information about not being vaccinated, as well as the proposed remedy of segregation in the workplace.
