The Regulation on Remote Working has been amended in order to include employees working in a hybrid model.
The Regulation Amending the Regulation on Remote Working (the “Amending Regulation”) has been published in the Official Gazette dated 25 September 2026 and numbered 33381, and it introduced a minor amendment concerning the works performed partly at the workplace and partly through remote working. Accordingly, the Amending Regulation added a new paragraph to Article 9 of the Regulation on Remote Working, which states that the employee and the employer may agree that the works may be performed partly at the workplace and partly through remote working. Thus, the working model commonly referred to in practice as hybrid working has been expressly included in the Regulation. With the new amendment, where the hybrid working model is applied, the days on which the employee will work at the workplace and remotely, as well as the working hours, must be specified in the employment agreement. In this respect, it is important for employers who currently apply or plan to implement a hybrid working model to clearly regulate the relevant working arrangement in their employment agreements or through additional protocols.
