In the webinar we will address the new Subcontracting Reform in Mexico published on April 23rd, 2021 and discuss the immediate and far-reaching legal consequences for multinationals with operations in Mexico. In general, the extensive subcontracting arrangements currently used by many companies will as a result of this reform be limited to specialized services or work which is not part of the legal corporate purpose or main economic activity of the Company – a dramatic change which will require restructuring to be undertaken within 90 days of the law’s enactment, with tax and criminal consequences in case of breach.
