Brazil: Ministry of Labour and Employment Postpones the Deadline for Including Psychosocial Risk Factors in the Occupational Risk Management Program to May 2026
On 16 May 2025, the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MTE) published the Ordinance No. 765/2025, which postpones to 25 May 2026 the new guidelines of the Regulatory Standard No. 1 (NR-1).
This measure aims to provide companies with additional time to adapt to the new guidelines, which includes the obligation to identify, assess, and implement procedures in their Occupational Risk Management Program (PGR) related to psychosocial risks in the workplace1.
MTE has already released an Informative Guide on Psychosocial Risk Factors Related to Work2, designed to assist in the implementation of the new guidelines. Furthermore, the MTE announced that it will release a manual containing comprehensive technical guidelines on procedures and regulatory aspects.
