Poland: July 8, 2026: New Regulations on National Labour Inspectorate Enter into Force
On 8 July 2026, the following amendments to the Act on the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) will come into force, amongst others:
- the authority of labour inspectors to issue decisions establishing the existence of an employment relationship;
- the right of the parties to appeal the decision to a labour court, which suspends its execution until a ruling is made;
- the possibility of obtaining an injunction (interim relief) for the duration of the dispute, ensuring the application of labour law regulations;
- Granting the Chief Labour Inspector the right to issue individual interpretations regarding the application of labour law regulations concerning the determination of whether a legal relationship exists.
