New version of the draft amendment to the Act on the Minimum Remuneration for Work

On 8 September 2026, a further version of the draft amendment to the Act on the Minimum Remuneration for Work, implementing the EU Adequate Minimum Wages Directive, was published on the RCL website.

The proposed solutions include, among other things:

  • maintaining the indicative level of the minimum remuneration at 55% of the forecast average remuneration,
  • extending the scope of information provided to the Social Dialogue Council when the level of the minimum remuneration is set,
  • extending the rules to soldiers and officers of the uniformed services, whose pay, together with permanent allowances, may not be lower than the minimum remuneration.

The latest version drops the earlier proposal to gradually bring basic salary up to the level of the minimum remuneration.

The provisions are to enter into force 14 days after their publication.
