Poland: IT System for Contract Management – Bill Submitted to the Sejm

On 25 February 2026, a bill amending the Act on the IT System for the Management of Certain Contracts and certain other acts was submitted to the Sejm. The bill provides for the possibility of concluding, amending and terminating online, among others, employment contracts and contracts of mandate, as well as the transfer of previously signed paper-based contracts into the online system.

Among the key changes is the opening of the system to all interested parties, regardless of the size of the enterprise or the form of business activity conducted. The catalogue of contracts that may be concluded online will also be expanded –  in addition to those already available, it will include, among others, training contracts, non-compete agreements and joint material liability agreements.

Documents signed electronically will carry the same legal force as handwritten signatures.

The majority of the provisions are due to enter into force 14 days after the date of publication of the act.
